Biggin Hill hotel

Work is fast progressing on ‘The Landing’ a new hotel for Biggin Hill Airport first announced this time last year.

The facility is primarily intended for crew who frequently fly in and out of the airport, as well as engineers and other employees of the numerous resident aerospace businesses based at Biggin Hill. When finished, it will have a fitness suite, as well as a beautiful lounge, bar and restaurant.  No date yet for the opening but it is promised “by the end of the year”.

Already in place Steven Thorne-Farrar is the General Manager: “We are already seeing great interest in The Landing, and it will be a valuable addition to London Biggin Hill. I am particularly pleased that the new hotel will enable us to continue to support the local community by providing further employment opportunities.”

Simon Severwright, Surveying Director of Barnes Construction added: “The construction programme is progressing well and over the next few months, building work will gain further momentum, with 20-25 personnel on site representing several trades, all working hard to get the roof and external fabric installed and completed, so the building becomes watertight.”
