Travel Hashtag

The latest London edition of Travel Hashtag, the first of its kind in the UK, took place on 1 March, at the prestigious location of the Granaio (Criterion) in Piccadilly Circus, where it was received with excellent support from the large audience of senior travel figures.

Travel Hashtag is a networking event focussing on the high end of the business in terms of attendees and the future experience.

The speakers involved included Sir Rocco Forte, Chairman, Rocco Forte Hotels; Giorgio Palmucci, President, Italian National Tourist Organisation (ENIT); and BTN contributor Chris Tarry, one of the most renowned global advisors in the aviation sector; and Ian Dockreay also a regular in Business Travel News.

"In spite of everything that has been going on, having managed to hold three events in just over three months (Milan, Abu Dhabi and London) is a source of enormous satisfaction for us", explained Nicola Romanelli, creator and President of Travel Hashtag.  Gianni Leone, Managing Director, added: “the enthusiasm, enterprising spirit and high-level expertise, which was very evident at the London event, are testimony to the swift responsiveness of the travel industry. An industry which is accustomed to dealing not only with the economic cycle but also with emergencies and unforeseen events of all kinds, and to maintaining a level of lucidity and an unparalleled perspective during difficult and often unprecedented times”.
