The Transport for London (TfL) rail service from Paddington Mainline to Heathrow Central is now four trains per hour (two to Terminal 5).
Starting from platforms 11, 12 and 14 (accessible from the Heathrow Express – Metropolitan Line bridge) the train stops at Ealing Broadway, West Ealing, Hanwell, Southall and Hayes & Harlington, with a total travel time of 28min. Two trains each hour stop at Acton Mainline which will increase to four per hour from the May timetable change.
When the Elizabeth Line opens in the coming months this service will continue for the time being and travellers to Central London on Paddington Mainline trains are advised to change at Ealing Broadway to save the arduous walk from the TfL platform to the new Elizabeth Line station.
There is a two-way interchange at Paddington between the Elizabeth Line and the Bakerloo Line. For East London, Farringdon is the best change station for the Circle/Metropolitan line. Also Liverpool Street.
Travel time from Heathrow Central via the Heathrow Express to Paddington is 15min. By London Underground to typically Piccadilly Circus one hour. The Elizabeth Line to Bond Street will be 32min and on to Canary Wharf 40min, and Custom House for Excel 42/45min in total.
Whilst the Elizabeth Line passes London City Airport and the former North London Line Silvertown Station, travellers to that important gateway will either need to take a taxi from Custom House or change at Woolwich for the DLR. Blame the present Prime Minister.

What’s happening to Bond Street. No mention here and I can’t find out the details. And the absence of a London City station is a disgrace.
