Malaysia back

The encouraging trend for the major airlines to resume their pre-pandemic Heathrow (LHR) schedules continues.

Typically oneworld member Malaysia Airlines (MAS) is bringing back its MH1 and MH3 flights to 11 weekly from 27 March until 29 June and will return to its full double daily service from 30 June onwards.

This will significantly increase the volume of flights available for passengers ahead of the eagerly awaited Malaysia border openings on 1 April.  It also coincides with other Southeast Asian destinations such as Thailand, Indonesia and Vietnam that have all announced a relaxation of entry requirements for international travellers who have been fully vaccinated.

This increased capacity provides greater opportunities for better connections across Europe and Asia Pacific and will allow passengers greater flexibility to fly on the dates that suit them best. MAS looks forward to the opportunity to welcome travellers aboard with its signature Malaysian hospitality offering.

MAS flagship route LHR − Kuala Lumpur International (KUL) is operated by the state-of-the-art Airbus A350-900, which features the signature business suite alongside the latest business and economy cabins. MAS is certified by Skytrax as a 4-star airline in recognition of its commitment to excellence in both its airport and onboard products. The airline has also received full marks (7 stars) by AirlineRatings.com for its Covid-19 health and safety measures.

Daniel Bainbridge, Regional Director UK & Europe is keen to promote the service: “The further increase in capacity of over 70,000 seats is a top priority for Malaysia Airlines on our flagship route and we remain the only non-stop carrier between London and Kuala Lumpur. We now eagerly await the opening of Malaysian borders on 1 April for travellers who we know have been wanting to visit and look forward to welcoming them back onboard with our signature Malaysian hospitality”.
