Heathrow Express

With competition expected this spring from the Elizabeth Line, Heathrow Express is ramping up its marketing team.

Whilst the new train service gives direct access to a series of central London stations, rather like the Piccadilly Underground, it takes twice the 15min of the non-stop service to Paddington with its taxi services to hotels and business centres.

Mark Eastwood has become Commercial Strategy Lead. He has been Business Development Manager at Heathrow Express since 2018.  In his new role Mark will lead the creation and delivery of Heathrow Express’ commercial vision and will lead on technology, ticket pricing strategy, marketing, PR, and sales & distribution for the unique operation.

Prior to joining Heathrow Express, Mark worked across Europe and the Middle East with IAG, developed loyalty schemes for the aviation sector at Avios, and led frontline teams with Virgin Atlantic.

Sophie Chapman, Heathrow Express Business Lead says: “Mark has already made a great contribution to Heathrow Express’ commercial success developing strategic partners for the business across travel, tech and rail. I look forward to welcoming him to the leadership team and working together to deliver our commercial strategy and continuing Heathrow Express’ successful recovery post-Covid.”

Mark will replaces Karan Suri who moves to a role outside the rail industry.
