Another west coast US route has been resumed by Aer Lingus.San Francisco is the target, the ‘Golden City’ started last Friday 25 February with four services weekly.
The airline, a member of IAG, now has 14 direct routes between North America and Ireland, including Boston, Chicago, Los Angeles, Miami, New York, Orlando, Philadelphia, San Francisco, Seattle and Washington.
Dublin to Los Angeles goes daily 12 May, and Seattle returns five times per week on 26 May. Flights to the USA from Shannon will start from 10 March, with 14 flights a week to New York and Boston.
Speaking on the route restart, Bill Byrne, Executive Vice-President US at Aer Lingus, said: “We are delighted to resume the Dublin to San Francisco service and to unite friends, families and businesses once more, reconnecting our communities and economies”.
Aer Lingus points out that for passengers boarding at Dublin and Shannon there is US Customs and Border pre-clearance at both and this includes connection flights from UK regional airports.”
