Greek connections for easyJet

Sky Express has become the latest carrier to join the Worldwide by easyJet connections service.

The move will allow customers to book tickets through the easyJet website, for self-connecting flights with Sky Express via Athens, Chania, Corfu, Heraklion, Kefalonia, Larnaca, Preveza, Rhodes and Thessaloniki, to over 20 Greek domestic destinations, including: Alexandroupoli, Astypalaia, Icaria, Kalymnos, Karpathos, Kasos Island, Kastoria, Kozani, Kythera, Laros Island, Lemnos, Milos, Mytilene, Naxos, Paros, Scio, Sitia, Skiros, Syros and Vathi.

EasyJet launched Worldwide in 2017 with airlines Norwegian and Westjet, and has since expanded the service to 18 partners including Air Transat, Cathay Pacific, Corsair, Emirates, Etihad Airways, Icelandair, La Compagnie, Loganair, Singapore Airlines and its low-cost subsidiary Scoot and Virgin Atlantic.

Virgin Atlantic recently extended its Worldwide by easyJet partnership to include connections at Belfast International, Edinburgh and Manchester airports.

Under the Worldwide programme, connecting passengers are subject to minimum connection times, and flights are not held. If a passenger misses their connecting flight they are transferred to the next available service.

Sky Express was founded in 2005, and flies to 48 destinations in eight countries, offering what it says is the largest network of destinations within Greece.

Last summer the airline launched new flights between Heathrow and Athens.
