From the end of March Dublin Airport will gain more flights to the Qatar Airways Doha hub as it accommodates a rising demand for international travel.
The airline, which already operates a daily service to the Qatar capital, is adding three more flights, on Sunday, Monday and Thursday.
Doha is one of the world’s major aviation centres offering Irish passengers greater access to travel to a wide range of destinations on Qatar Airways’ global network. The most popular are Australia, India, Maldives, New Zealand, Philippines and Thailand.
With a stopover in Amsterdam the journey time is just less than 13 hours.
The increase in flights is set from Sunday 27 March.
The airline has quickly rebuilt its network to pre-pandemic levels, enabling passengers to connect to over 140 destinations around the globe.
Gary Kershaw, Qatar Airways Country Manager for UK & Ireland, said: “Demand for flights and international travel is returning at pace, and we are absolutely thrilled to be able to offer our passengers flying from Dublin more choice about how and when they fly”.
Qatar Airways has been operating the Dublin – Doha route for five years, having launched a daily service in 2017.

Adding a service via AMS will not appeal to many. With a direct Doha-Dublin flight already, who wants to spend an additional three or four hours for a stopover in AMS?
