World Aviation Festival

Having decided to dump ExCeL London after just one show in the middle of the pandemic (see BTN 6 December 2021 Part 1 and Part 2) The World Aviation Festival is now busy promoting Amsterdam, its new location 5-6 October 2022.

The event is being held at the RAI Amsterdam Convention Centre, less than ten minutes from Schiphol Airport, the major sponsor.

With 13 different conferences, the agenda covers everything from airline operations automation, sustainability, retailing, loyalty, digital technology, the latest airport technology.

What remains to be seen is whether the venue is acceptable to the British airline industry, clearly the major supporters when the event was held at ExCeL London and prior to that Islington.  Whilst Zoom attendance makes life easy for participants it will be interesting to see if past presenters such as Robin Hayes of JetBlue and Shai Weiss of Virgin Atlantic turn out in person, both airlines without Amsterdam services.

One thing for sure, the highly successful product will not change.  A series of talks and discussion on multiple stages, plus chat and hospitality with the various exhibitors.
