Elizabeth Line - One station to go *

Transport for London (TfL) has handed over the penultimate and ninth Crossrail station to the Elizabeth line.

Canary Wharf is now ready to join the new London high-speed east to west link.

But one thing is missing.  Connections.

The location is fine for the massive business and shopping complex but very poor when joining the Underground and DLR, except for Poplar Station on the light railway.  A short bridge link appears to have been started but seems to be at a stop.

With Trial Operations having started on the central section in November, the railway will enter its next stage with larger exercises involving staff and partner organisations imminently. Trial Operations is the final phase of the programme before the Elizabeth line opens for passenger services between Paddington and Abbey Wood, TfL now saying in the first half of this year.

Still Cannot believe Crossrail/Elizabeth Line Haven’t Yet built a railway station at Silvertown: so London City airportis on the Heavy rail network,as the train runs really close to the airport (as well as it’s current DLR railway station). Let’s Get it Built Soon! So many benefits & a direct railway line connection to: Canary Wharf, the City of London Heathrow airport & London’s West End!

This bridge seems to be to be yet another muck-up with Crossrail. And they will all attend at the opening and say how wonderful it is? Which is probably true. But no medals please. To many mistakes and a huge budget overrun.
