Aviation Club lunch
For the first lunch (RAC Tuesday 9 February) of 2022 the Aviation Club of the United Kingdom will welcome one of the most important players in the Middle East air transport scene over the last 20 years.
Adel Abdullah Ali set up Air Arabia in October 2002, the Middle East and North Africa’s (MENA) first low-cost carrier. He is ex-Gulf Air and British Airways.
Headquartered in Sharjah the airline now has a fleet of 43 Airbus A320 series aircraft. It is today the largest low-cost carrier in the MENA region, as well as the first publicly-owned airline in the Arab world and its biggest by market value. Destinations include Gatwick and Manchester in the UK, and many European countries.
The Royal Automobile Club (RAC) is proving to be a very popular new venue for the Club working well for those from the regions (and overseas) who can take advantage of the excellent room rates now available. The RAC is a fine watering hole for members and not expensive. Sponsored guests may stay any night.
