Wizz December

Listed on the London Stock Exchange, Wizz was quick last week to publish its results for December.

The Hungarian airline said it carried 2.6m passengers last month at a load factor of 75.4%.  This compares with the 665,000 in December 2020 at 56.1%

In a statement the carrier reiterated its acquisition of 15 daily slot pairs from Norwegian Air Shuttle at Gatwick, basing four additional aircraft at the airport bringing the total up to five.

The airline gave no indication of forward bookings except to highlight the 14 new Gatwick routes being launched from March onwards to Bari, Catania, Chania, Faro, Funchal. Larnaca, Milan, Mykonos, Naples, Palma, Podgorica, Rome, Tel Aviv and Vienna
