São Paulo is again to be connected to Heathrow from Friday 3 December, four days per week, by LATAM the Brazilian airline.
South America is quickly opening up with British Airways returning on the route with daily flights the previous Sunday.
The last LATAM flight departed London on 17 January 2021 before government restrictions were put in place between the UK and Brazil due to the pandemic. Boeing 777s are used on all flights.
João Múrias, Commercial Director, LATAM Airlines Regional, said: "We are proud to reconnect London to São Paulo, and from there to all of South America. The demand as soon as the news broke that we were back in operation has been incredible, which reinforces that our commitment to connecting the UK to South America is more topical than ever."
No news yet of a return of the Rio de Janerio flights.
