Health check at Belfast City Airport

Literally a ‘pop-up’ unit within the terminal at Belfast City Airport a Randox health check facility has proved a great success.

“Really was a question of using space available and with the help local contractor H&J Martin Asset Management Services we were able to put the facility together very quicky,” said Matt Hall, the newly arrived Airport Director.  “It is very important to have this capability with the opening up of international flights, and for passengers connecting through Amsterdam and Heathrow.”  He said that the locality of the airport made the facility very convenient for local people requiring vaccination.

Hall was keen to point out that the new easyJet services to Gatwick were going particularly well.  These are twice daily which allows for a day trip in either direction.

A new digital hub sponsored by Danske Bank has opened at the airport to help business and leisure travellers stay connected.  Located in the airport’s Departures Lounge, it offers passengers the chance to have a seat while charging their phones, tablets and laptops and using the airport’s free wi-fi.

Designed by Off the Wall and including 16 charging points, the Drop Zone aims to help airline passengers be ready to work, access entertainment or simply stay connected on their journey.
