Air France and the upturn

With the lifting of travel restrictions and the resumption of traffic to numerous destinations, Air France is increasing capacity for the winter season (October 2021–March 2022).

In this way, up to 182 destinations will be served (87 on long-haul and 95 on short- and medium-haul, with new routes launched on all continents.

Entering into service is the Airbus A220 from Paris Charles de Gaulle to Berlin, Madrid, Barcelona, Milan and Venice. (See BTN 4 October).

For the winter Air France is adding from its major hub Zanzibar (Tanzania) twice weekly as a continuation of flights to Nairobi (Kenya) as from 18 October; Muscat (Oman) three times weekly from 31 October; Colombo (Sri Lanka) three weekly flights as from 1 November and Banjul (Gambia) with four weekly services from 1 November.

By the start of the summer season Air France is expecting to operate 90% of its pre-Covid services.
