Travelodge boost

The slow return to domestic travel for both business and family reasons is being supported by Travelodge, the UK’s largest innkeeper, releasing over 80,000 rooms for £29 or less this October half-term.  There are currently 578 Travelodge properties in the UK. 

In June 2020 the company, which is not listed, filed for a creditors’ voluntary arrangement (CVA).  It has clearly weathered the storm and is now actively recruiting with over 500 jobs available.

Craig Bonnar, Chief Executive,Travelodge, since May (and previously Chief Operating Officer having joined from ASDA in 2017) said: “There has never been a better time than now to join the UK hospitality sector – the career opportunities are endless.

“We need to fill 750 positions immediately and if you have passion, determination and a real desire to look after people then we will help you learn the rest.

Now fully open after a £2m refurbishment is the Travelodge Liverpool John Lennon Airport, previously a Holiday Inn.
