With this edition of BTN featuring motoring, and with summer making a little comeback, TEMPCOVER has just released the Top 50 Road Trips in the UK!
In a new study it has analysed the UK’s Road Trips locations hashtags on Instagram and has ranked the top 20 most picture-worthy according to the platform's users.
First place follows the A4 and stretches from London to Bristol on ancient routes through the peaceful countryside is the UK’s most instagrammed road trip with 157,415,253 hashtags.
Second place was taken by Mourne Coastal route in Northern Ireland which has 9,635,388 hashtags across Instagram. This 102-mile driving trail starts at Belfast via North Down which takes you to the city of Newry. This route leads you through some of the most scenic views in all of Ireland.
In third is the South Downs route which has 8,957,465 photographs across the platform. This 90-mile route starts from Eastbourne and takes the A27 down to Winchester.
In all the road trips across the UK, England trips appear to have the most Instagram-worthy locations taking up 60% of the top 20.
Tempcover CEO Alan Inskip says: “We were thrilled to find out that most of the Instagram worthy road trips are home to England. Driving holidays can be an adventure like no other and its lovely to see these beautiful locations are just on our doorstep. Whether you’re exploring the long windy lanes of the country or cruising along scenic coastal roads, the freedom of driving away from it all can be a truly life changing experience.”
