The first face-to-face gathering of the airline industry for 18 months will take place at the Royal Automobile Club, Pall Mall, London. on Thursday 16 September.
Guest of honour is Topi Manner, CEO of Finnair, who joined the airline in January 2019. Manner has a long career in management positions at Nordea, the largest financial group in the Nordic countries, and since 2016 he has worked as a member of Nordea's Group Executive Management and as Head of Personal Banking.
Founded in 1923 Finnair is the sixth oldest airline in continuous operation. Its major shareholder is the government of Finland, which owns 55.8% of the shares. In 2019 it transported 14.6m passengers, up 10% from the previous year with an 81.7% load factor. It is a member of oneworld alliance and made a profit of €218m in the last year before the pandemic. Its mainline services are all Airbus (A320 series, A330 and A350) with both ATR72 and Embraer 190 for regional routes.
