Virgin Atlantic new routes

Scotland start-up for Virgin. 

Except for its best forgotten Little Red enterprise Virgin Atlantic will for the first time operate long-haul services from Edinburgh this winter.  Starting 5 December, well in time for the end of year holiday period, Virgin will operate twice weekly to Barbados with a three-class Airbus A330 featuring Upper Class, with its lie flat beds and lounge area, and also Premium with its 38inch seat pitch.  In partnership with Caribbean Airlines the carrier will offer connections to Grenada, St Vincent and Tobago.

Flights to Orlando, claimed to be ‘the theme park capital of the world,’ will launch on 30 March 2022.  They will also be twice weekly

Virgin Atlantic will be joining its joint venture partner, Delta Air Lines, at its new home in Scotland.  Delta currently flies to both New York and Boston from the Scottish capital.

“To be able to deliver flights to Barbados, Scotland’s only direct route to the Caribbean, and Orlando is a fantastic boost to us as we prepare for the post-Covid recovery, and it is a huge show of confidence in Edinburgh Airport’s ability to deliver for passengers across the country.
 
Virgin Atlantic has also announced the launch of three flights per week from Manchester Airport to Montego Bay on 6 November and seasonal winter services flying three times a week from Heathrow to St Lucia commencing on 18 December.
