World Aviation Festival

ExCeL London has been confirmed for 2021 World Aviation Festival, a two-day event Wednesday 1 December and Thursday 2 December.

It is early days yet, but a hybrid event is likely although with the last physical gathering back in September 2019 speakers are expected to be attracted to what has always been a networking occasion.

The 2021 will have new topics that are crucial to industry improvements and recovery such as automation, biometrics, demand forecasting, and technology improvements.  In-flight retailing has always been a serious revenue source for airlines but with the pandemic this is an area that is moving on fast and attracting considerable interest.

For those who have not been to ExCeL before the experience will be an eye opener with all the activities in one level.

From a practical point of view London City Airport is just one mile away and the DLR runs from Bank Underground to Custom House for ExCeL.  The exhibition halls are well supported with a large number of hotels, some of which will be used by participants for hospitality purposes.  The new Elizabeth Line (Crossrail) to Heathrow is not yet ready but will give easy access from London’s West End in the future.
