Hotel opening in Sardinia

Quite what the position is for Brits travelling to Italy over the peak summer months we just do not know.  This has not stopped hotel openings.

Just 45min from Cagliari International Airport the Baia de Chia Resort, Curio Collection by Hilton, is now fully functional, a 77-room eco resort that caters to couples and families alike.

Its elevated waterfront location provides panoramic seascapes as well as views of the entire Chia lagoon. Chia beaches have been voted the most beautiful beaches in the country by Legambiente, the most prominent environmental association in Italy.

Guests have the choice of three restaurants – Il Ginepro, Il Canneto and Flow – a specialty restaurant offering Southeast Asian, Thai and Sushi fusion cuisine.  Holidaymakers are also able to relax and unwind at the hotel’s two bars, which offer both indoor seating and outdoor terraces.  The hotel has a large outdoor swimming pool, tennis courts and an outdoor kids club that will have activities suitable for children of all ages.  There is a private beach club within a short distance of the resort.

Next year another Hilton brand, the upmarket Conrad Chia Laguna Sardinia will open nearby with 107 guest rooms, all featuring a private garden or terrace.  It promises to be an outstanding holiday property.
