Aviation Club

The Aviation Club of the United Kingdom has confirmed its webinar for Wednesday 16 June starting at 13:00 BST.

The speaker will be Emma Gilthorpe, Heathrow’s Chief Operating Officer who in March was appointed CEO of the Government’s Jet Zero Council. 

With the pandemic hopefully behind us, there now has to be a focus on net zero-emission ambitions for the aviation and aerospace sector, and sustainable aviation fuels.  Emma will no doubt use a crystal ball and outline her targets.

The Club tells BTN that it is in negotiation with the Royal Automobile Club regarding the re-introduction of its popular luncheon series with Thursday 16 September – a provisional date for the return with guest speaker Topi Manner, CEO, Finnair.  Karl Brünjes, Chairman, is emphatic.  “One-to-one is the only way ahead. Whilst Zoom serves its purpose it’s not the same, either for the Club, or indeed the industry, it’s face-to-face and being introduced to people that counts.
