Hilton has opened its first Canopy property in France, located in Paris’ 16th arrondissement Trocadero district. The hotel’s design draws inspiration from the history of the area and incorporates what the company calls “thoughtful touches” from the industrial past of the 1930s building. The hotel is located a 10min walk from attractions such as the Arc de Triomphe and Champs-Elysées, and a few steps from the Trocadero metro station.
The hotel’s 123 rooms feature signature Canopy beds with gel memory foam and Serta Cool Balance technology, 55inch TVs, complimentary wi-fi, Apivita bath amenities and in-room Nespresso coffee machines. Other facilities include a 24hr gym with Technogym equipment, complimentary bikes to tour the neighbourhood and flexible meeting and event space.
The hotel serves breakfast at the Canopy Central restaurant, classic French dishes at l’Esprit Nouveau, and cocktails and sharing platters at the rooftop bar with views of the Eiffel Tower.
The group also plans to open two hotels under its Tapestry by Hilton brand in the French capital this summer, Le Belgrand Hotel Paris Champs Elysées and Hotel Camille Paris Gare de Lyon.
The Canopy brand was launched in 2014, and there are currently 28 properties open around the world, with over 30 under development across 16 countries and territories. The Paris opening will be followed by new Canopy hotels in London and Madrid later this year.
