The Bailiwick of Guernsey has been virtually free of Covicd-19 for most of the last year due to the strictest border controls in the British Isles, with the exception of the Isle Man.

Life has gone on much as usual except for the lack of visitors and the resultant collapse of the holiday business.

The 30 April will mark the return of curbs in relation to testing and self-isolation on arrival, meaning that some visitors will have different restrictions based upon their originating country or region. Some may not have to self-isolate for the current compulsory 14 days. These details will be determined closer to the time.

This is subject to the progression of the local vaccination programme, as well as the developing situation in the rest of the world. At that point, the requirement for a single test at the border or pre-travel, may be retained. This will be dependent on Public Health concerns at the time.

The very active Guernsey Tourist Board has been keeping prospective visitors informed on travel to the island, and its dependencies Alderney, Herm and Sark, with summer flights from Gatwick, Southampton and the Isle of Man, plus a whole series of regional airports.

Condor are expected to reintroduce high-speed services from St Malo and Poole shortly and will continue to provide daily passenger and vehicle capacity to Portsmouth and on Saturdays to St Malo.
