The April Travel News Update (TNU) by Aspire, the sister publication of Business Travel News, was published last week, essentially aimed at the business and leisure traveller passing through the 50 Aspire airport lounges around the globe. Sad to say at present most Aspire lounges are closed, including the 19 in the UK.
To put Aspire into perspective, in the last full working year some 14,000 passengers passed through the lounges daily, 5m in a normal 12 months.
Aspire is owned by Swissport, one of the world’s largest aviation service providers. normally supporting 265m passengers at 300 airports in 47 countries for 850 aviation related customers. Revenue in 2019 totalled €3bn.
TNU is available on a computer interface, laptop, pad and smart phone and normally as a printed version at the Aspire reception in their airport lounges.
