The British Government is being extremely zealous regarding the Covid-19 rules and regulations. Whilst restrictions are in place for a stay in the UK, you are only allowed to leave the UK from England if you have a reasonable excuse.
To make it even more complicated different rules apply for international travel if you are departing from Scotland, Wales or Northern Ireland.
This applies to holders of UK and non-UK passports.
It is illegal to travel abroad without a reasonable excuse. Travel abroad for holidays is not permitted.
Some people are exempt from completing the declaration form because of the job they do. Find out about which jobs are exempt and the conditions that apply. You could be fined for leaving, or trying to leave, the UK without a reasonable excuse.
