Frankfurt and Teesside have been added to the Bristol Airport portfolio.
Germany’s major hub will have a daily Lufthansa Embraer 190 flight starting 28 June. What is being emphasised is the two-way connections with incoming passengers gaining direct access to Cornwall and Devon and Frankfurt providing easy transfer with flights to the east.
Returning to Bristol on 24 May after a two-year absence is Loganair. The airline will offer a daily flight (except Saturday) from its new major English base of Teesside International. From that airport the airline is already well established on the key route to Aberdeen and has added Heathrow flights and will during the spring introduce services from Teesside to Belfast City, Dublin, Jersey and Cornwall Newquay.
Loganair chief executive Jonathan Hinkles said: “We are very pleased to expand our commitment to Teesside International with this direct service to Bristol, connecting two important UK business locations. We’re sure that the new connection will be warmly welcomed by customers travelling for work reasons and by those – just as soon as they can – travelling to visit friends and family.”
