The name ‘Dettol’ may be synonymous with childhood and protection for cuts and bruises but it is a serious hygiene tool and Britain’s biggest selling disinfectant.Supported by the London School of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine, British Airways (BA) has teamed up with Reckitt Benckiser (RB), owner of the brand, to offer customers a range of Dettol products in the air and on the ground.
Part of an ongoing commitment to help keep clients and colleagues safe BA customers now have access to a range of Dettol products, that are proven to kill 99.9% of bacteria and Coronavirus in the air and on the ground.
At Heathrow Terminal 5 Dettol hand sanitiser stations will be positioned at all check-in desks, self-service bag drop, lounges and at departure gates, replacing the current sanitisation stations with Dettol products. The airline will also use Dettol antibacterial wipes, cleaners and sprays to keep surfaces clean at the airport and in its lounges.
In the air, BA will be introducing a Dettol antibacterial hygiene wipe. Each customer will be handed a packet containing the wipe as they board the aircraft.

Carla Wiseman, UK
How safe is Dettol on the a/c interior surfaces, has the household product been modified not to effect leather nd laminate as passengers will almost certainly use the wipe to clean 'their area'

..."We can replace BA's PR...er...Team...with our 'Gout' and 'Athletes Foot' on board promotions... ..our excess Wind build up campaign is worth looking into as well!"....Dettol is a Good Start though...

Susan, you don't have to fly with BA. Dettol has always been an effective disinfectant and providing a Dettol wipe on boarding is a smart idea.
Susan Seen, Glasgow
If promoting Dettol the best BA’s PR team can come up with they might as well be sent back to furlough, or become part of the airlines cost cutting!
