Accor new hotels

For the massive French hotel group Accor, one of the world’s largest hospitality operators, the last month or so has meant a couple of important openings, in spite of the pandemic.

Already open is BERD’s Chisinau MGallery Hotel Collection Moldova which promises an authentic journey into the culture, tradition and modern design of the landlocked east European country.

The newly opened property offers its guests 33 luxurious rooms and suites, an astounding restaurant, the Art Lounge and a distinguished Spa. Located near the historic centre of the capital Chisinau it is the first boutique hotel in Moldova.

In the heart of Bern, the Swissôtel Kursaal Bern offers panoramic views of the Alps and the historic old town, an UNESCO World Heritage Site, just a five-minute walk from the hotel.

The  flagship hotel offers 171 rooms with natural, sustainable and well-crafted materials.  There are two Vitality Suites that offer a holistic approach and feature a well-being wall for mental and physical well-being, customised furniture, as well as a freestanding bathtub.

To revitalise body and mind, numerous sports and fitness options are offered – from Vitality Fitness sets in the rooms to the 150sq m gym open around the clock with weights, the latest equipment, and a personal trainer on request.

The hotel's own rental bicycles are ideal for exploring the city or the nearby forests. With 4,805sq m of meeting and event space for up to 1,500 guests, the Swissôtel Kursaal Bern Congress Centre is the city's largest event venue with 28 modern, light-flooded rooms available for large and small meetings, seminars and banquets.  Those on the upper floors are particularly impressive with their unique view of Bern's old town and the Alps. The Mediterranean Giardino restaurant and Yù with its Asian cuisine complete the hotel experience.
