Olympia and Hyatt

BTN does not normally look too much into the distant future and with Covid-19 with us 2021 business travel is still problematic.  2024 is a long way off but Olympia and Hyatt are already working on the massive redevelopment of the Victorian exhibition centre site on London’s Hammersmith Road.

Pride of place is the 196-room Hyatt Regency London Olympia directly connected to the convention centre and linked to Olympia Station with a car and taxi drop off area (see picture below).  Facilities will include a restaurant and lobby lounge with bar and market area, as well as meeting rooms.

Hyatt Regency London Olympia will be the fourth hotel under the brand in the UK, joining Hyatt Regency Birmingham, Hyatt Regency Manchester and Hyatt Regency London – The Churchill.

The Hyatt Regency and Citizen M properties will be part of a wider redevelopment of Olympia, which will see the historic exhibition centre transformed into an integrated convention, entertainment, and cultural district.

The regeneration will also feature a four-screen arthouse cinema, over 7,400sqm of performing arts space, a 1,500-seat theatre, restaurants, shops and more than 51,000sqm of office and co-working space.
