Newcastle Meliá

Meliá Hotels International, Spain’s largest hotel group, will open the INNSiDE Newcastle on 14 December.  The timing could not be better hopefully with the lockdown out of the way.

The 161-room property, complete with five meeting spaces, is located in the heart of the city on the historical Quayside, overlooking the River Tyne and less than five minutes’ walk from the railway station with its fast link to Newcastle International Airport.

Close by is the SAGE Conference Centre, the city’s celebrated Eldon Square shopping complex, The Biscuit Factory art gallery and Baltic Centre for Contemporary Art.  St James Park, home of Newcastle United FC is less than a one mile walk and the remarkable Gateshead Millennium Bridge just a short stroll down the Tyne.

The hotel’s facilities can cater for up to 170 banqueting places.  The new hotel also features a breakout events space with views from the mezzanine, overlooking the Open Living Lounge below.

Amenities include refreshments in all rooms with an in-room mini fridge with free juice and mineral water plus a 24hr fitness room and e-fit.
