BA winter domestic programme

British Airways cuts back on frequencies.

Schedules filed by British Airways show a one-third reduction in domestic flights from Heathrow for the winter period until the end of the year starting Sunday 25 October.

From London City the decrease is equally draconian but is only published until the end of November.

From Heathrow British Airways currently flies to Belfast City (a code-share operated for some odd reason by Aer Lingus), Edinburgh, Inverness, Glasgow, Manchester, Newcastle, and also Newquay (with very limited flights and no proper frequency).

For Dublin it is four times daily but it is again a code-share with Aer Lingus and from T2.

Edinburgh is now four flights nicely spread out, Glasgow three, Inverness a single flight on Friday, Saturday, Sunday and Monday, Manchester twice daily, Newcastle a daily (09:50) return service.  Belfast City is confusing, twice daily by Aer Lingus (T2) and an early evening return flight originating out of T5 by British Airways.

BTN was unable to verify the accuracy of the above from the Press Office.  Please check on the web site.
