Quarantine update

Business Travel News strongly advises that UK passport holders around the globe follow the up-to-date advice on the Foreign and Commonwealth Office (FCO) website (see below).

Added to the confinement list are travellers entering England from France, the Netherlands, Malta, Aruba, Monaco and Turks & Caicos, all of whom must quarantine for 14 days. The restriction applies even to British nationals who are currently on holiday.

Data from France shows that over the past week (7−13 August) there has been a 66% rise in newly reported cases and a 52% increase in weekly incidence rate per 100,000 population, indicating a sharp rise in Covid-19.

With the Netherlands over the past four weeks there has been a consistent upsurge in newly reported cases and a 52% increase in the last seven days.

One reason that there are now more cases in those countries (and here) is because there is now more testing.
