A partnership with English Premier League club Newcastle United is the latest move by Loganair to continue its expansion in north-east England, with former club captain, Scotland international and club ambassador Bobby Moncur kicking off the deal.
Moncur was at Newcastle International Airport to present the Loganair team with a co-branded football and signed shirt from the club. Loganair will now begin advertising at live televised Premier League games for the first time.
The promotions start next Saturday, 18 January, when the Toon Army cheer on their team against Chelsea at St James’ Park.
The airline also announced it would be introducing larger aircraft on its Newcastle – Aberdeen route to increase seat capacity by 21%. Loganair now flies six routes from Newcastle to Aberdeen, Brussels, Bergen, Stavanger, Newquay and Guernsey.
Chief commercial officer Kay Ryan said: “We are delighted to announce our partnership with Newcastle United and highlight the destinations passengers from the North East can now access and we look forward to further collaboration later in the year.”
