It could give other airlines paws for thought – the introduction of pet travel on Jersey and Southampton services by Aurigny has been a huge success.
Pets are also permitted on Alderney flights and now the airline says it is looking to see if it can introduce the service on other routes.
Officials say since the idea was introduced last month, 20 dogs have travelled Southampton – Guernsey and 12 in the other direction. Forward bookings are said to be barking.
The service was particularly popular over the festive period as many ferries were cancelled.
