A third US property for the Virgin Hotels chain has opened on Turtle Creek Boulevard in the Dallas Design District with 268 rooms – called chambers in Virgin-speak – and a fourth-floor rooftop club with pool. It is the first hotel in the neighbourhood.
The chambers feature Design District-sourced accessories and lighting and each includes a dressing room with a full vanity between two white oak closet systems, a makeup desk with an illuminated mirror and an extra-large shower with a bench.
A sliding wooden door separates it from the lounge, which features Virgin’s patented bed with a channel-tufted headboard, a red Smeg mini-fridge stocked with snacks and a yoga mat.
Dining and drinking options include the Commons Club, which incorporates The Kitchen by celebrated chef Matt McCallister, showcasing a seasonally-driven menu with French influence, and a bar.
The Funny Library Coffee Shop is a communal workspace which offers an assortment of books and games and serves Laughing Man coffee, the brand co-founded by Hugh Jackman to help people in need.
The fourth-floor rooftop overlooks the Dallas skyline and allows guests to relax in a social setting among greenery and trees with hanging Moroccan lanterns. There is also a Secret Garden, which hides a hot tub, a hanging chair and an exclusive bar.
