London is set to gain a purpose-built luxury boutique hotel called The Guardsman in Buckingham Gate in early 2020 with ambitions to offer what general manager Eva Mount calls the atmosphere, discretion and personal service of a private club.
The property will feature 53 guestrooms, while the top three floors will encompass six exclusive residences of one, two and three bedrooms, along with large living spaces, dining areas and fitted kitchens.
“From the moment guests arrive, they will be made to feel at home,” Mount said. “Along with a choice of rooms or residences, they can request their preferred brand of drinks, menu items or bathroom products, all prepared ready for their arrival.
“The hotel has an unmistakably British feel that befits such a prestigious address. Interiors are contemporary and relaxed, complemented by a few carefully chosen, classic and sometimes quirky embellishments.”
Other features of the hotel include bespoke furniture in the public spaces, curated art on the walls, individually-styled bedrooms and free-standing baths, plus herringbone parquet flooring, state-of-the-art integrated televisions and Chromecast speakers.
Spaces for dining and socialising are set over two levels to allow for relaxing, reading, small gatherings or enjoying drinks including a sommelier-curated wine list.
