New York welcomes largest Hyatt Place

The world’s largest Hyatt Place hotel has opened in New York’s Times Square with 520 rooms and the brand’s signature features of intuitive design, casual atmosphere and practical amenities including free wi-fi throughout and 24hr food.

In the centre of Manhattan, the property is within walking distance of noted theatres and restaurants, Madison Square Garden, the Port Authority terminal and Penn Station, as well as the Jacob Javits Convention Centre.

The hotel has more than 960sq ft of flexible, high-tech meeting space, while workstations available round the clock mean business guests can print out boarding passes, revise presentations or check in with their offices at any time. There is also a high-tech fitness centre.

General manager Benjamin Britton said: “With our smartly designed social spaces and guestrooms, our multitasking guests can easily accomplish what they need to do while on the road.”

Sales and marketing director Dana Reid added: “New York City is known for friendly people, great neighbourhoods, and an ever-expanding list of great places to visit and things to do or see.

“Our hotel is central to all of them and we are confident that the Hyatt Place New York City/Times Square will exceed guest expectations and provide them with everything they need while visiting our area.”
