Ninth London property for Z Hotels

Fast-growing Z Hotels has opened its ninth property in London and the 13th in its UK portfolio in a converted office building in Chandos Place to provide what it calls “a calming atmosphere for guests in the heart of the hustle and bustle of the capital”.

The brand was launched in 2011 and has hotels in Covent Garden, Fleet Street, Gloucester Place, Piccadilly, Soho, Tottenham Court Road and Victoria, with one under development in Holborn. The company is also in Bath, Glasgow and Liverpool.

The latest addition, Z Hotel Trafalgar, is close to some of London’s top landmarks including the National Gallery, Embankment Pier, Covent Garden and Somerset House and a short walk from mainline rail and Tube stations.

As with all Z Hotels, the ground floor boasts a café area and reception which has also been inspired by the natural design of the original building, in keeping with the rest of the property, and provides a working space for guests visiting on business.

A significant amount of the office building’s fabric has been retained and the hotel is designed with earthy tones and natural materials. It also features a courtyard for with trees, shrubs, flower plants and a green-wall.
