Air Transat on growth path

Named the world’s best airline in its class at the 2019 Skytrax Awards, Canadian carrier Air Transat is expanding services between the UK and Ireland to Toronto and Montreal next summer.

The frequency of Gatwick – Toronto flights will double to twice daily and Gatwick – Montreal from three to five times weekly, with many of the services operated by the airline’s new Airbus A321neo LR.

Air Transat is also increasing capacity from Glasgow and Dublin to Toronto by phasing out the Airbus A310 for an all-A330 service from Glasgow five times weekly and a mix of A330 and A321neo LR services from Dublin five times a week.

The airline will also continue to offer an all-A330 five times weekly service from Manchester to Toronto, meaning for summer 2020 Air Transat will offer more than 30 direct flights every week from the UK and Ireland to destinations across Canada.

The 199-seat Air Transat A321 features a newly re-designed 12-seat Club Class with personalised service, gourmet meals, natural leather seats with leg rests and wider 13in touchscreens.

Economy Class offers more personal space with wider leather seats and state-of-the-art in-seat entertainment systems with 10in individual touch screens and USB ports to charge personal electronic devices.
