The surging popularity of airport lounges was reflected at Edinburgh last week with Aspire opening its second facility. The original model is to close for a short period for refurbishment and is scheduled to reopen next year.
The new lounge is in the north-east of the terminal above Pret a Manger with easy access to all gates and features Aspire’s Work Booths for business travellers needing a fully-equipped “office away from the office”.
Other facilities include free and unlimited wi-fi, tableside charging facilities for portable electronic equipment and magazines and newspapers to browse before flight departures.
Complimentary speciality teas, coffees, wines, beers and spirits including Aspire’s exclusive Chairman’s Choice single malt whisky, are on offer from the bar, plus freshly-prepared hot snacks, sandwiches, cake, scones and clotted cream are also available.
Another feature is a Family Booth area, with each space equipped with a personal smart TV allowing users to sit back, relax and enjoy some family time in comfort before their flights.
The Aspire Lounge is open to all airport users on payment of a fee, irrespective of class or airline.
