Dublin welcomes its first Hyatt

The first Hyatt-branded hotel in Ireland has arrived in Dublin with the opening of the latest example of the company’s fastest-growing lifestyle division, the Hyatt Centric The Liberties. It is managed by the Hodson Bay Group.

Dating from the 10th century, The Liberties is one of Dublin’s most historic and vibrant areas and the hotel is being positioned as “an ideal destination for adventure-seeking travellers wanting to stay in the heart of the action”.

Guests will be within 10min of a number of attractions, including the Irish Museum of Modern Art, St Patrick’s Cathedral, the Dublin Liberties Distillery and Ireland’s top tourist attraction, the Guinness Storehouse.

The hotel’s 234 contemporary guestrooms include King Suites designed to create a home-away-from-home experience, while the Liberties Suites have views of the historic area itself.

Guests can also choose between the 47sq m (506sq ft) Cathedral View Suite, which overlooks St Patrick’s, and the 50sq m (538sq ft) Terrace View Suite, which offers views of the Dublin Mountains.

For events, meetings and conferences, the hotel offers 371sq m (4,000sq ft) of flexible space, as well as a dedicated events team. Meeting rooms have state-of-the-art audio-visual equipment, including LCD projectors and electronic screens.

There are currently six Hyatt Centric properties across Europe, in Madrid, Istanbul, Venice, Milan, La Rosière and Dublin. The brand is also established globally with a presence in major cities, such as New York, Tokyo and Santiago.
