New Business Class for LATAM

A new Premium Business class was unveiled ln São Paulo last week by South American carrier LATAM on board the first Boeing B777 in the carrier’s fleet to feature new cabin renovations.

Officials said the B777 represented the new standard for the group's long-haul fleet and is one of some 200 aircraft to be upgraded over the next two years as part of a US$500m (£411m) investment to improve the passenger experience.

Introduced by vice-president customers Paulo Miranda, Premium Business (below) features new Thompson seats offering more privacy and direct aisle access, as well as configurations for individuals and couples.

The custom-designed seats recline 180deg to a fully-flat bed and feature the latest in-flight entertainment viewed on an 18in personal Panasonic screen, as well as space for personal belongings. There is also a new food service designed by Chilean and Brazilian chefs.

The airline-wide upgrade also includes renovated Economy cabin and LATAM+ seats which offer greater space, a dedicated overhead locker and premium services such as priority boarding.

For passengers on domestic flights and routes within Latin America, LATAM is also transforming more than 150 Airbus A320 and A321 cabins featuring ergonomically-designed Recaro seats, fast-charging USB ports and wireless in-flight entertainment.
