The outlook for China’s aviation market and the future of aviation in Istanbul and its giant new mega-airport are among topics up for discussion at the World Aviation Festival at London’s Business Design Centre in nine days' time, 4-6 September.
Other subjects in focus will include the future of the European Aviation Network and how it will revolutionise European inflight connectivity, the growth in the use of digital aids at Heathrow and growing competition between airline apps.
Speakers expected to attend include Emirates president Sir Tim Clark, IATA CEO Alexandre de Juniac, SITA CEO Barbara Dalibard, easyJet CEO Johan Lundgren and Virgin Atlantic CEO Shai Weiss.
Also on the list is Qantas Group CEO and managing director Alan Joyce, who is expected to deliver an update on his airline’s Project Sunrise plan for non-stop flights between Sydney and London.
In similar vein, JetBlue president and COO Joanna Geraghty will be answering questions on the US carrier’s reported plans for transatlantic flights between New York and London next year.
The list of high-ranking attendees for the festival also includes Air France CEO Anne Rigail, Istanbul Airport CEO Kadri Samsunlu, Fraport CEO Stefan Schulte and Royal Schiphol Group chief digital officer Henk Jan Gerzee.
