Four Seasons hits the heights

The highest situated hotel in North America, the Four Seasons Hotel Philadelphia at Comcast Centre, has opened on the top floors of what is now its host city’s tallest building and the 10th highest in the US.

The property (below) is between the building’s 48th and 60th storeys with all 180 rooms and 39 suites boasting unobstructed floor-to-ceiling views of Philadelphia and beyond and interiors and furnishings designed by English architect Norman Foster.

Four Seasons Hotels and Resorts worldwide hotel operations president Christian Clerc said: “This exceptional new property represents the best of Four Seasons, from architecture to design, artistry and innovation, culinary mastery and wellness expertise.”

Event spaces include the Grand Terrace Ballroom with foyer and a 1,348sq ft (125sq m) outdoor terrace, plus a smaller ballroom on the fifth floor; executive boardroom on the second floor; and three additional spaces for receptions of up to 80 guests.

Other features include the award-winning X1 Video Experience in all rooms and suites offering some 300 channel options and a free library of more than 50,000 films and shows on demand.

A health centre on the 57th floor features a giant indoor pool, a state-of-the-art fitness space, a wellness boutique and the Spa at Four Seasons, with four treatment rooms.
