Bordeaux joins Air Canada roster

Passengers on a new non-stop seasonal service by Air Canada between Montreal and Bordeaux can have an en-route taste of their destination with wines from the region served on board.

Bordeaux is the airline’s fifth destination in France. The three-a-week service runs until 8 September and is operated by Air Canada Rouge with a Boeing B767-300ER featuring Premium and Economy cabins

Vice-president for network planning Mark Galardo said: "As the only network carrier to offer non-stop transatlantic service to Bordeaux, the addition of our fifth destination in France further enhances our competitive position in the French market.

“Our three weekly flights to Bordeaux provide travellers unique access to the famed wine-growing region and the popular Nouvelle-Aquitaine market.

“In addition to playing a special role in connecting Canada with many French-speaking communities around the world, our Montreal hub is increasingly popular among US travellers who appreciate seamless connections to international destinations on Air Canada.”

All flights provide for loyalty programme accumulation and redemption and, for eligible customers, priority check-in, Maple Leaf Lounge access, priority boarding and other benefits.

BTN will be featuring Bordeaux and AmaWaterways river cruises in a future issue.
