Delta's new cabins head for UK

Brand new inflight experiences are being brought to the UK skies by Delta Air Lines in November with the launch of a reimagined Business Class seat and the airline’s international Premium Economy cabin, Delta Premium Select.

The new cabins will be fitted on the Boeing B767-400 fleet and bring all four branded seat products – Delta One (below), Delta Premium Select (left), Delta Comfort+ and Main Cabin – to this aircraft and the UK for the first time.

The aircraft are scheduled to fly from Heathrow to Atlanta from 13 November, New York-JFK from 17 November and Boston from 21 November. Heathrow services to Detroit, Minneapolis and Portland will feature the cabins from next summer.

Senior vice-president Europe, Middle East, Africa and India Corneel Koster said the new Delta One seat took inspiration from the Delta One suite to offer added privacy and comfort for premium customers.

“The new seats are based on our latest design and provide customers with new levels of choice in both Delta One and our new Premium Select cabin as part of our multi-million-pound investment in the widebody long-haul fleet.”

The B767-400 refit follows the introduction of the Delta One suite and Delta Premium Select on Delta’s Airbus A330-900neos, A350-900s and Boeing B777-200s.
