Belfast Europa facelift

Northern Ireland’s best-known hotel, the Europa, has completed a £500k renovation programme. The Lobby Bar has been transformed, the Piano Restaurant fitted with new seating to enhance private dining and the Grand Ballroom modernised.

General manager James McGinn said: “We are thrilled to offer our new look, especially in the Lobby Bar which has been redesigned with contemporary interiors, luxury seating and a new kitchen with capacity increased to up to 120 guests.”

The hotel, which has an international reputation for holding prestigious events and hosting many of the celebrities and VIPs who visit Belfast, also has a new menu line-up which for the first time in the Europa includes a tapas offering in the evening.

McGinn added: “We have a lot of VIPs but to us every guest is a VIP and we pride ourselves on providing the highest level of customer service, as has just been acknowledged with a British Airways Customer Excellence Award.

“I am also delighted that the Europa was ranked within the top 3% of its highest-rated hotels for 2018. Ongoing investment from Hastings Hotels enables us to remain one of the world’s most famous award-winning properties, renowned for excellent reputation and hospitality.”
