Laudamotion strengthens Stuttgart links

Following the launch of daily service launched between Milan Bergamo Airport and Vienna at the start of the winter season, Laudamotion has further committed to the Italian gateway by beginning a second route from Stuttgart.

Budapest Airport also joined the Laudamotion club last week, welcoming the carrier as its first new airline of the year with the launch of a twice-weekly link also to Stuttgart.

The expansion follows the 100% takeover of Laudamotion by Ryanair in January and is part of a plan for up to 20 new routes set to be introduced from Vienna, Stuttgart, Dusseldorf and Palma in the next couple of months.

The Milan – Stuttgart service will operate initially six times a week, increasing to nine during the height of the summer season, introducing in total 50,000 additional seats to the Milan Bergamo market this summer.

Giacomo Cattaneo, director of commercial aviation for Milan Bergamo managing company SACBO, said: “Around 180,000 passengers travel annually between Milan and Stuttgart and it is great Laudamotion is helping to grow this robust market further.

“Milan Bergamo has year-round non-stop flights to Berlin, Cologne Bonn, Frankfurt, Hamburg and Nuremberg in Germany, plus a summer service to Bremen, and we can now offer an additional destination to our third largest international market.”
