AND FINALLY: Naked dining

Many and various are the reasons for visiting any given destination but if the thought of eating naked in a restaurant was likely to lure you to Paris, you’re too late.

The owners of the aptly-named ‘O’naturel’ restaurant in the French capital are shutting up shop after discovering – surprise, surprise – not enough customers were attracted by the idea of watching naked strangers feed themselves.

Those that did take the plunge undressed in a cloakroom and were given nothing more than a pair of slippers to wear at table. Chairs were equipped with black covers which were changed after every use.

BTN failed to find an opportunity to indulge. We’ll just have to settle for an iron tower and that indefinable air of romance instead.

It's not the idea of watching naked strangers - or being watched - that I find daunting. It's the nerve-wracking thought of negotiating a spoonful of hot soup!
